Board of Review PreparationBefore you can advance to your next rank in Boy Scouts, you will have to present yourself to a Board of Review. The Board consists of several adult volunteers who will ask you questions and evaluate whether you are ready to earn the next rank award. Here is a checklist you can use to prepare yourself for the Board of Review:
Be Prepared to recite the following from memory:
To do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; To help other people at all times; To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight. Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, Reverent.
Be clean in my outdoor manners. Be careful with fire. Be considerate in the outdoors. Be conservation minded You may have to answer other questions about your Boy Scout experience, your accomplishments, the things you enjoy about Scouts, and the ways you are contributing to the troop.The MacScouter web page has many sample questions you can use to help prepare for your Board of Review: |
